In the year 1980, few like-minded youngsters got together and resolved to do something positive for the society and humanity at large. Their objective was to make a difference in the lives of the needy and create a platform for youth to render selfless service. This noble and focused effort led to the formation of “KARNATAKA MARWARI YOUTH FEDERATION - KMYF” on Nov 1st 1980. KMYF was created with a zeal to inculcate active and responsible citizenship in the youth and channelize their energy to contribute positively to our society.

Since its inception, KMYF has been doing yeoman service in several areas and we are proud to have active participation of 80 members today from varying domains such as Doctors, Engineers, Chartered Accountants, Industrialists, Businessmen, Journalists, Lawyers etc., These members who have achieved the pinnacle of excellence in their respective fields provide unflinching support and funding to various initiatives which are being effectively run under the auspices of our federation.

The various social projects undertaken by KMYF and being in the fore front in providing immediate relief provided to the victims of earth quake, gas tragedy, floods, tsunami etc., was recognized by Government of Karnataka by conferring the “Karnataka Rajyotsava Award” to KMYF in the year 1991.

EVOLUTION OF KMYF

Thanks to the sincere efforts of the federation members and employees, backed with the contributions of benevolent donors and gracious support from the Government, KMYF has been able to extend its services in multiple areas such as providing artificial limbs to the needy people, conducting dental camps with a mobile dental clinic, offering concessional dialysis facility to the needy patients and improving the quality of education at a Government School. 

While KMYF continues to make a difference in lives of thousands of our fellow country men, our federation was always in the forefront to serve our nation in times of need and distress such as Venus Circus fire tragedy, Kargil Amar Jawan Relief, Gujarat Earthquake, Tsunami, Bhopal Gas tragedy, Uttaranchal Earthquake, etc. Our federation has not only mobilized funds to provide relief for the affected people, but our members have also rendered much needed physical support by swiftly participating in relief activities. Besides this, KMYF also regularly organizes several noble events such as Blood donation camps, distribution of books and uniforms to School children and conducting sports events for challenged children.

Donations to KMYF is exempted from Income tax under Section 80G of I.T. Act.
